Winch Battles Hard in Fight to the Finish Line Against MacDuffie and St. Andrews

In another heated race, Winch saw MacDuffie for the second time this season and welcomed St. Andrews school to our race. Patrick Stevens ’22 held his own, with a racer from MacDuffie and a racer from St. Andrews school on his tail the entire time. At the end of it all, Patrick took home second place with a time of 17.59, only .5 seconds off the first place runner. Stavros Georgees ’22 came in next for the Winchendon School, placing 7th with a time of 20:11. Brendan Cambell ’22 followed closely behind, placing 8th with a time of 21:14. Maddy Brayshaw ’21 made an unexpected early appearance, making sure to give it her all towards the end of the race and placing 19th with a time of 24:02. Chase Evans ’21 followed closely behind, making sure to sprint it out at the finish line and placing 24th with a time of 25:15. Finally, at the end of the race, Luke Black ’20 sprinted into the finish line and placed 31st with a time of 36.34. We look forward to our next race at the New England Championships!
