Three of The Winchendon School’s teams will be in competition this weekend. First up, the School’s Robotics Team is headed to deliver its mechanical muscle to WPI. The action begins Friday, in qualifying rounds at the FIRST ROBOTICS NE DISTRICT tournament to see how the team stacks up against 41 other teams. After the all-day qualifying event, we’ll wrap up qualifiers before lunch on Saturday.
And on Saturday, March 3rd the Winchendon School campus will be busy with two teams in semifinal play.
Tipping off at 2:30PM at the School’s Rotenberg Gym, the Boys Varsity Basketball team (number two) takes on number three, Hyde School (ME). The BVBB outplayed The Harvey School 89 to 62 to reach the semifinals. You can live stream the action on The Cube.
Boys Varsity Hockey (number one seed) continues in the 2018 New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Boys Ice Hockey Tournament Piatelli/Simmons – Small School Tournament, and plays at 4PM in the School’s Jason Ritchie ‘05 Ice Arena against the number four seed, New Hampton School (New Hampton, NH). Building on their 5 to 2 win over Vermont Academy, the team expects to go to the finals on Sunday, March 4th at St. Anselm’s College (Manchester, NH). Watch the Semifinal game on The Cube.
