The Winchendon School’s basketball philosophy is simple: recruit the best, well-rounded student-athlete possible. Our overall objective is to involve them in the entire school community, foster a team environment, and watch them experience success. By doing this we prepare our student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically at Division I, II, & III programs across the nation.
After The Winchendon School:
The Winchendon School graduates have gone on to compete at: Providence College ( NCAA Career Steals Leader), Florida State ( McDonald’s All American), South Carolina, Michigan, George Washington, St John’s, Boston College, Richmond, Louisville, Yale University, UCONN, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Northeastern, Trinity College and many, many more. Coach:
Coach Kehoe has over 20 years of coaching experience in NEPSAC. During Coach’s first eleven seasons’ his teams have reached the NEPSAC “Elite Eight” four times, “Final Four” twice, and has been to the championship game twice, winning once. Coach Kehoe was named NEPSAC Coach of the Year in 2014.
His past coaching experience includes coaching at the high school, junior college, and four-year college levels. In his coaching career, Kehoe has placed over 250 players in college and has/had 13 former players play professionally overseas. This is why high-end student-athletes will choose to further their pre-college development at The Winchendon School.
“As a coach, I care more about the whole student-athlete rather than just the player. There is a common saying, that the four years of college dictates the next 40 years of your life. What I say to our prospective student-athletes is that you have these years to make the right decision about the next four years; these years will be as impactful on your life as any possibly could be.”
Coach lives in Madison CT with his wife, Kris. He is also the proud father of 22-year-old triplets, Patrick, Matthew, and Mikayla.
