Coach Matt arrives at The Winchendon School following a successful period at Worcester State University, where he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the past five
years. Along with recruiting, Matt was involved in all facets of the program, including on-court instruction, video breakdown, and scouting reports. During his time in Worcester, the Lancers
posted a record of 64-44 and competed in the MASCAC championship game in both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. Coach Matt coached six All-Conference selections and over 30 All-Academic student athletes. Before joining Worcester State, Matt worked at Mass Premier Courts as a Director of Basketball Operations, and began his coaching career at Gardner Middle and High School. Matt currently resides in Gardner with his wife Eddaliz and their two-year-old daughter, Emma.

Ricky Leonard
Coach Leonard knows basketball. And he knows Coach Kehoe having played for him during his own prep school career. After prep school, Coach Leonard went on to play at New England College in New Hampshire where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from New England College.
Susan DeGrave
This fan of Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus practiced immigration law before becoming a teacher. When she’s not in the classroom you may find her playing tennis, hiking, or playing the acoustic guitar.

Clayton Mello
Amoung his other talents, Clayton is a professional basketball coach. He spent four years in NCAA Division I as a Student Manager at UT under Rick Barnes and Graduate Assistant at Texas State University, as well as four years at the High School level in Texas. Clayton has a B.A. in Kinesiology and Health with a minor in Coaching from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook’em 🤘). He loves playing and watching any and all sports, and “traveling with [his] gorgeous wife Ashley”.

Thomas Moorshead

Pulling from his extensive experience and education, Thomas is excited to join The Winchendon School as a teacher and a coach, laying the groundwork for some important life lessons along the way.

- Favorite Book: Impossible to choose just one! But I am rereading The Blindside and I have to say it is still incredible.

Bryan Muenzner
Bryan, who was raised in Glocester, MA was a three-season scholar-athlete himself (football, basketball, and baseball) who majored in Business Management and minored in Fitness/Wellness – and that’s where he found his passion, in working with students to reach and maintain their daily goals. his passion for coaching and helping others succeed and learning to enjoy the moment drew him to The Winchendon School where he runs the daily baseball operations and is the Strength and Conditioning Coach. In this role, he works will every team on campus. His advice? “Read. And never stop learning to learn.”
