Bill Blackham ’71 put his second company, Condor Hospitality Trust, Inc., on the New York Exchange recently while proudly wearing his gold Winchendon School lapel pin. Bill’s next goal is to put a third company on the exchange before spending more time relaxing.
Condor Hospitality Trust is a publicly-traded real estate investment trust that specializes in the ownership of premium-branded, upper midscale and upscale, select service, extended stay, and limited service hotels that are located within the top 100 MSAs in the United States. The company’s hotels are franchised under premium brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, IHG, Choice, and Wyndham, and operated by third party management companies.
Acting as Chief Executive Officer, Bill, along with his board of directors, conveys Condor’s mission thusly: “to provide to our shareholders attractive total returns for the lodging sector through disciplined investment in high-quality select service, limited service, extended stay, and compact full-service hotels, and intensive asset management to achieve enhanced results.
We’ll be following Bill’s adventures in business, as we have been since 1971, while he bounds into the future. Vestigia Nulla Retrorsum, Mr. Blackham!
