During Impact Learning this week, some of our freshmen students traveled with Ms. Legro and Dr. Bradley to the Brooklyn Museum to visit two exhibits, “Jeffrey Gibson: When Fire is Applied to a Stone It Cracks” and “Climate in Crisis: Environmental Change in the Indigenous Americas.”
Our freshman curriculum focuses on both storytelling for identity in English and climate and environmental change in Biology, therefore, these exhibits were the perfect connection across disciplines. Na’im S. ‘24 says, “I think these exhibits were really cool because they both related to my classes and it is really cool to see history through art.”
Check out these exhibits at The Brooklyn Museum until 2021 and if you’re interested in learning more about Impact Learning, sign-up for an Open House.
