The over-arching characteristics of The Winchendon School’s illustrious and colorful past consists of three central themes: unique pedagogy focused on each student’s unique strengths, spectacular campus locales, and gifted, highly skilled teachers who gravitate to the greater educational rewards of truly making a difference: one student at a time.

The Winchendon School Centennial Campaign

Our Centennial Appeal launched in August 2024 and will continue through June 2027. The first year of the Centennial Appeal has four phases, which you can read more about below. Thank you in advance for making an investment in The Winch Way.

Phase 2: Choose Your Own Adventure

From December 3rd to February 13th, the Centennial Appeal switches its focus to those specific programs on each campus that define a Winchendon education. Want to directly support the part of Winch that meant the most to you? This is your chance to do it. Stay tuned for more information.

Phase 3: Share the Love

Phase 3 focuses on Financial Aid. Cost should never be a barrier to a Winchendon education in Massachusetts or New York, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we continue to offer robust financial support to those who need it. We plan to launch this particular phase of the Appeal on Valentine’s Day and encourage people to give in honor of a Winch faculty or staff member who meant the most to them or their family.

Phase 4: Winchendon Forever

In the summer of 2025, the Centennial Appeal turns to our Endowment and Capital Improvements. When you give to the endowment, you secure permanent funding for The Winchendon School because the principal of your endowed fund is invested and untouched in perpetuity. Your gift lasts forever. A gift to the endowment can be directed to Capital improvements. Since moving to Winchendon, MA in 1961, the School has continuously enhanced the facilities on our 326 acre campus to support TWS’s program and mission and in 2018, we opened a second campus in New York City to bring the Winch Way to even more deserving students.
