The World Needs Creative Problem Solvers.
Here, you’ll find other kids who share your interests and have the opportunity to branch out and try something new. You can play varsity soccer one semester, perform in a play the next, and learn a new skill in the ceramics studio after that. You won’t be defined by one talent, skill, or interest. At Winchendon, you can change and explore new areas, and/or focus in deeply on one passion. You may be surprised by what you find and where it leads you.
Studio Arts
While in Massachusetts, look for the building with the street art on the outside. Inside, you’ll find our studio art space and our ceramics lab. Classes range from beginners to advanced studio art. Discovery continues outside of the classroom with opportunities to explore the museums of Boston and New York City on weekends or in ColLABs.
Digital Arts and Filmmaking
Want to tell a story? Learn the skill of digital storytelling through photography or video. You’ll learn to take photos, film, direct, edit, and publish stories in and out of the classroom through classroom work, afternoon activities, and ColLABs.

Theater
From running the lights to running the show, our students have gone on to succeed in college and beyond. Take a look at our recent productions, including Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” produced on Zoom while our students were off-campus, proving that truly, “all the world is a stage.”
Music
Will you join our acapella group? Take private music lessons, or play in a Coffee House? At The Winchendon School, you can find your voice and we give you plenty of performing possibilities. From singing in front of family and friends at Family Weekend to the Holiday Concert to showcasing your new piece on the piano, you’ll have opportunities to expand your repertoire and build your performance skills to continue in college.
