FROM PESSIMISTIC TO OPTIMISTIC - IN A PG YEAR

“
When I first came to Winch and moved in on the first day I wasn’t too optimistic about the year ahead. I had never lived outside of my home before, but it didn’t take long for Winch to feel like a home to me.

Pat struggled at the beginning to adjust to life at a boarding school; however, it quickly became his second home. He did not know what this opportunity would hold for him. Pat took advantage of classes and internships through our ColLAB program to best prepare him for college.
- New to Winchendon, Pat felt uneasy and did not know what to expect. Shortly after finding himself in leadership roles, such as National Honor Society and being a Green Key Ambassador, he found his place at Winchendon. Also as an avid member of the baseball and hockey teams, after a few short days at Winchendon, Pat found the school to be a very supportive place for his ambitions.
- Pat used the ColLAB program to participate in an internship at a financial firm. He spoke of how he gained insight on a career path he may one day follow. Pat also has hopes to play professional baseball for MLB. At the College of the Holy Cross, Pat will be able to pursue both of the dreams mentioned above: the business world and baseball.
