I’m also very grateful that Winch provided me with the opportunities like Service Learning and ColLAB, which allowed me to break my comfort zone and explore more about myself.”

Jiayue pursued a medical internship at a local hospital during one of her ColLAB sessions. Through her passion for the medical community, Jiayue also led the Cure for Cancer Service Learning Group. She enrolled in Tufts University to continue to follow her passion for medicine.
- Jiayue pursued the many different offerings that she encountered during her time at The Winchendon School. She was stellar inside the classroom, which led her to finish at the top of her class, serving as the valedictorian for the Class of 2019.
- Beyond the classroom, she participated in Service Learning and National Honor Society. When the college process was approaching, Jiayue was able to write her college essay about her experience in the medical field through her internship.
- She had outstanding acceptances ranging from University of Massachusetts at Amherst Honors College, Northeastern University, and Tufts University, where she decided to enroll in.
