A seasoned educator, Travis Glennon has explored, taught, and coached in a variety of places and excelled in all of them. Bucket List / Globetrotting adventure?
A few years ago, I made the goal to read one of the Harry Potter books on each of the seven continents. I’ve covered the first three books on three continents and would love to spend a year traveling the continents, finishing in Antarctica doing research on one of those educator expeditions!
Superpower of choice?
Time travel! It could be a Dr. Strange type superpower, or a Dr. Who kind of time travel, but I’ve always found myself running out of time at the end of the day from things I wish I could accomplish: more time with family, more time lost in a good book, not to mention my pups are reaching their teens and I could always use more time on the trails with them!
A favorite place to visit and the books you would take there?
In Puerto Velasco Ibarra, on the island of Floreana (Galapagos), there sits a row of secluded cabins whose shared pier is set on the black lava sands at the ocean’s edge of the Pacific’s Cromwell Current. I’d grab the copy of The Chamber of Secrets I first read there, any copy of Anthem, and a title from the airport bookstore that
