Tony is Winchendon’s Iron Man – no really! He has four Iron Man competitions to his credit and is training for number five. When he’s not tending to college counseling activities, teaching or triathlon training, Tony enjoys walking the dogs, playing guitar, hanging out with his family (wife and Head of School, Laurie, and children Bair ’17 and Abby ’19), and scheming up their next trip. His parents head his hero list with Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, and Muhammad Ali contending for second place. As befits a Spanish major, Tony’s bookshelf is littered with such authors as García Márquez, Lorca, Borges, Sor Juana Inés, Neruda, Poniatowska, Cortázar, Matute, and Cervantes.
- Which Winchendon class would you most like to take: Global Dynamics IV: Cases in Globalization
- Superpower of choice: Invisibility – because I could be a fly on the wall during some pretty interesting meetings/conversations in the White House, Congress, Google, Apple, etc.
- Favorite Winchendon event: The musical! It is always fun to see kids pushing themselves out of their comfort zones.
- On the bucket list: Travel to so many places… Egypt, New Zealand, Argentina, etc.
