Madison Murphy may be new to teaching, but she has considerable experience with independence schools. For high school, she attended Phillips Academy and worked as their summer intern in 2017 and 2018. She recently graduated from Bates College, and is excited to become a part of the Winch community and to experience traditions like mountain day. You might find her playing ice hockey, rollerblading, or reading a good book. She is passionate about science, specifically chemistry, and her love of nature makes Winchendon a perfect fit.
Globetrotting adventure: I would say my biggest globetrotting adventure was in the summer of 2011 when I traveled out west with my grandparents, cousin and brother in an RV for about 10 days. We traveled through five states and visited places such as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Zion National Park and the Great Salt Lake.
Go-to comfort food: Either tortellini or mac and cheese.

On the bucket list: SKYDIVING is definitely on the bucket list!
