Dr. Friedman received his PhD in American history from Michigan State University in 2009. Having taught high school and university classes elsewhere, he comes to Winchendon with 17 years of experience. He has published and presented nationally and internationally on the issues of 1970s presidential politics, specifically how presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter worked to improve America’s image after the twin traumas of the Vietnam War and Watergate. When not in the classroom, he enjoys golfing. In his seventh year at the school, Dr. Friedman serves as the Director of Academics, Varsity Golf Coach, and a Social Science teacher.
