It isn’t likely that many people would cite Doc Holliday as a hero, but Jarrett does. The combination of intellect (Doc was a dentist) and gun slinging is hard to beat. Jarrett’s “gun slinging” is confined to the hockey rink, dialing up some clever math concepts, or wrangling his daughter Tatum. Jarrett, wife Kristi, and Tatum make their home in nearby Rindge, New Hampshire. This Saskatchewan native loves a good movie night or a Cormac McCarthy novel. Jarrett has found creative ways to bring his passion for carpentry and woodworking into the classroom. This results in tangible hands-on projects capturing the imagination of his students.
Go-to comfort food – I’m from midwestern Canada, so meat and potatoes. Steak (rare), potato smothered in butter and salt, and peas.
Favorite Winchendon tradition – Climbing Mount Monadnock
Favorite place and books on hand – Tuscany is my favorite place on earth. I would bring The Road by Cormac McCarthy and A River Runs Through It by Norman Maclean.
Song to start the day – “Forever Young” by Bob Dylan
