Chloe F. ’21 almost grew up at The Winchendon School, as her older brothers and sisters arrived on campus beginning in 2010, she watched each of them find themselves at Winchendon. But this year, she’s going to do something that didn’t exist at the School when her siblings were here- be inducted into the National Honor Society. And Chloe is not the only one. The Winchendon School has been a member of the National Honor Society for the past two years. During the 2020 induction ceremony, seven of the 27 inductees will be a sibling or cousin of a current student or alumnus/a.

Educational Choices
A Winchendon School education is deeply personalized and highly collaborative, a Winchendon education is driven by student interests – resulting in graduates who are confident, adaptable, and self-directed learners. That’s what we mean when we say #TheWinchWay. For families, it may mean the School fits the educational needs for more than one of their teens.
The Advantages of Having Siblings at Boarding School with You
For parents and caretakers, the advantages mean less driving! For teens, it can mean:
- the friends they meet may overlap a bit
- exploring different interests on the same campus
- occasional meals together
- cheering for one another on the stage or on the field – or both!
- extra support on campus if needed!
- another layer of shared experiences and traditions for the years to come
