The Winchendon Curriculum
At Winchendon, we’re focused on helping you get ready for what comes next. The academic approach at Winchendon is rooted in a collaborative, tutorial, and project-based approach to learning. You’ll have access to a full range of academic programming, from AP to Application-Based courses, and from Physics to Digital Media, allowing you to tailor your education to your interests and aspirations. Students are tasked with not just asking hard questions, but employing critical thinking to solve real-world problems.
Every online course incorporates projects for students to get their minds working and their hands dirty out in the field. Just because we are online does not mean we need to stay in front of our computers all day, and our teachers adeptly develop program that incorporate a variety of academic exercises to support the growth of strong, well rounded students.
And if any online student wants to participate in our ColLABorative learning program in the spring, or transfer to our boarding school in Massachusetts or day school in New York, the door is open.
Classes meet three days a week as live workshops, and there are daily extra-help and tutorial periods beyond the academic day to support each student’s growth. You might be learning from home (or the beach, or wherever) but you’ll be connected with your classmates and teachers during every one of your classes.
