The Winchendon School wishes to congratulate Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Jarrett Sampson on a very successful season and career and thank him for his stewardship of our program for the past seven years. Under his guidance, the team experienced the greatest season in school history this year, not only finishing but also spending most of the season ranked as one of NEPSAC’s top 10 teams. Coach Sampson has taken the boys to the playoffs three out of seven years in his time as head coach and has sent many students off to play ice hockey in college at the D1 and D3 level. In addition to coaching hockey, Jarrett teaches math full-time and coaches girls’ varsity softball. The School is pleased to announce that although Jarrett will step away from ice hockey, he will continue to serve as a valued and experienced teacher in the classroom and will be introducing a psychology class as a new elective for the science department. He will also focus on continuing to develop the softball program.
