On Wednesday, the Boys Prep Basketball team traveled to Barrington, RI to Face St. Andrews School for their quarterfinal of the NEPSAC AA Tournament.
Despite being a number 6 seed, the boys battled through adversity to stay within striking distance of the defending AA champs all game. The back and forth defensive battle came down to one last shot. The open look at a three pointer with a couple seconds left on the game clock just rimmed out and ended the Wapiti’s season as St. Andrews secured 50-48 victory and moved on to the semifinal game.
Winchendon set the tone for good things to come in their inaugural season in the AA and would like to thank everybody who supported them. The coaching staff and athletic department are thankful to the student athletes that left it all on the floor for the team and the graduating athletes will surely he missed
