THE 1926 SOCIETY
In honor of The Winchendon School’s founding year
Thanks to the support of alumni, parents, grandparents, friends, faculty and staff, businesses, and corporations, Winchendon has grown tremendously over the past 93 years but has stayed true to the School’s mission of transforming the lives of individual students. The 1926 Society exists to help grow our culture of philanthropy, create lifelong connectedness, and to recognize and thank Winchendon’s donors who demonstrate their belief in the school and in our diverse community through their annual gifts.
While all gifts are gratefully received, The 1926 Society recognizes and celebrates donors who give a total of $1,000 or more during the fiscal year to any Winchendon fund or funds. Young alumni who have graduated in the last ten years will be recognized at lower levels based on their class year.

PLANNED GIVING SOCIETIES
THE LLOYD HARVEY HATCH SOCIETY
Leaving a Legacy
In 1926 Lloyd “Harvey” Hatch founded The Wassookeag School in Dexter, ME, which was the predecessor to The Winchendon School (after The Hatch School in Newport, RI)
Here we honor Mr. Hatch and his dedication to education and our school by giving recognition to people who have remembered The Winchendon School in their estate plans and have advised Winchendon of their plans. Since these gifts come to the School upon maturation of the will or estate, The Hatch Society provides an opportunity to recognize donors during their lifetimes.
Individuals, corporations, and businesses who participate in any of our giving societies will receive special invitations and communications throughout the year. If you are interested in more information about ways to give to The Winchendon School or if you have any questions, please contact Scott E. Pottbecker at 203-942-4804 or Carrie Ahlborn at 804-761-0804.
