When the ice goes down in the Jason Ritchie ’05 Arena, the scent of hockey lingers in the air, then, students, and players look forward to the friendly Route 12 rivalry. The annual Winchendon School / Cushing Academy game is usually held early in the season. At The Winchendon School. the Service Learning group, Cure for Cancer has been taking the opportunity to sell rally towels, snacks, and drinks and donate the proceeds. This year, the students are selling “Pink the Rink” shirts, pizza and drinks before the game on December 6th. The puck drops at 5PM for the girls’ game, followed by the boys. New this year, is an optional $5.00 admission fee. Both games will be live-streamed at staging-winchone.kinsta.cloud/live.
