Graduation information for senior/PG students and parents
Where – Here on the front hill with parking below on the bottom of the old golf course (access from Cross Road and Ash Street).
More graduation details:
Four tickets are available per senior/PG family, and we recently sent a survey asking who was planning to attend. You must pre-register to attend graduation. If you are a senior or PG family and did not receive the survey, please let us know your plans and how many tickets you will need. You can email our Alumni and Development Office Coordinator Kim Kunce with that information. If you are not able to attend graduation, please let us know ASAP. We will be closing the ticket reservations as of Monday, May 10th, so we can plan for placement of the family groups. We have a small list of families who have asked for one extra ticket already, and we will do our best to meet that need if at all possible.
At some point soon, we will ask senior and PG families for more information such as the names of the visitors and phone numbers for contact tracing purposes. Please respond immediately to that request (pod placements will be given out on a first come, first serve basis after that email goes out). The email will be from me directly to the seniors/PGs and senior/PG parents.
It will be important for all visitors to meet some basic safety expectations. Any visitors to campus must be free of any symptoms for 14 days with no positive COVID tests or COVID exposure. We are happy to hear that many of our parents have already been vaccinated. We will be screening all guests upon arrival and will be seating families in separate pods on the lawn.
A new folder, “End of Year Events” will be added to the Resources Board in WIS. Please be sure to check that regularly for updates and additional information.
Students who are currently virtual are welcome to attend the ceremony on campus, but they will not be permitted to stay in the dormitories beforehand. We also welcome the families of students who are virtual, of course. All seniors and PGs will need to depart campus after graduation, unless other arrangements have been approved.
Here on campus, we will be taking a photo of each senior/PG in their graduation attire. Also, we will be sending the caps and gowns to all virtual students. Please take a photo in the graduation regalia and send it to the Marketing Department. Virtual students should then bring the cap and gown to campus with them if they are attending the ceremony. Don’t forget!!
When – Saturday, May 22nd at 10:30 am with the rain date on Sunday, Mary 23rd at 10:30 am. While the festivities will formally begin at 10:30, we will need our guests to arrive 60-90 minutes in advance to provide for safety checks and social distancing. More information will follow soon. Families will be parking on the old golf course fairway and walking, so walkable shoes will be important. We will make sure that any families with mobility issues are accommodated, but please let us know in advance if this is the case.
