The Girls Varsity Soccer team was defeated on Wednesday after a very competitive game against Vermont Academy. There were moments of light during the end of the first half for your Wapiti when Grace Fitzgerald broke free towards Vermont’s net with a breakaway but ended up not being able to get a shot off due to Vermonts defense. Winchendon had a few more scoring opportunities and breakaways in the second half but Vermonts goalie stood strong in net, not along any goals. Winchendon is back at it this weekend and are now looking forward to Saturday when they will travel up to Proctor Academy for their next game.
